60 hours of classroom and lab instruction. 40 hours of onsite clinical training, taught by experienced RNs. Eligibility for immediate job placement as Nursing Assistant in a nursing home, assisted living and homecare.
Training Duration 6 Weeks; 100 Curriculum Hours
Certified Nurse Assistant/Patient Care Technician Program provides basic nursing skills, patient care techniques and universal precaution. Upon completion, students will be knowledgeable in phlebotomy technician, EKG technician and patient care technician, preparing students to work various healthcare settings.
Training Duration 18 Weeks; 400 Curriculum Hours
Program provides training to students to become proficient in various blood collecting techniques, first aid and CPR, effective patient interaction and language used in the medical field. Students learn about varieties of blood collection methods using methods of universal precautions, vacuum collection device, syringes, capillary skin puncture, and butterfly needles.
Training Duration 20 Weeks; 300 hours, includes class and lab/clinical.
Program provides skills and information to qualify for entry-level positions as nursing assistants, home health aides, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and patient care technicians. Program provides students with training to understand theoretical and clinical skills necessary to practice in various health field settings such as doctor offices, clinics, hospitals and long-term care facilities.
Training Duration 36 Weeks; 700 Curriculum Hours; 180 clinical hours
Program provides Certified Nursing Assistants with skills to assist with medication administration under the direct supervision of licensed registered nurses or physicians, medication aides administer drugs to patients in professional settings, like nursing homes, assisted living and Independent Living facilities. In general, subjects covered in a medication aide program are not presented as individual courses, but as topics studied on a week-to-week basis.
Training Duration 50 training hours; 50 supervised hours
Caregiving Skills: reading vital signs, giving medications, communication and organization.
Personal Care: grooming, scheduling, dressing, undressing, bathing, showering, and shampooing, assisting with toileting.
Body Mechanics: positioning, strain prevention, ulcer pressure prevention, range of motion exercises
Nurse’s Aide: ambulance assistance, bath and hygiene, dressing, feeding, diabetic meal planning, nursing evaluations, toileting and continence care, transfers and positioning.
